HERE'S A REVIEW OF THE ALBUM:
It's taken 20 years for David Guetta's name to mean anything outside the dance world, but this summer seems to be his moment. The French house DJ recently had a No 1 single with the fizzy Kelly Rowland collaboration When Love Takes Over, and has another this week with I Gotta Feeling, co-written with the Black Eyed Peas. This album, produced by Guetta and sung by a parade of famous cronies, abounds with upbeat electropop and electro-rap, virtually all of it too catchy for its own good. Guetta lets his vocalists dominate the tracks as he hovers in the background, adding a bit of house piano here (When Love Takes Over), some interstellar bleeps there (Sexy Bitch, featuring a feline Akon). Enjoyable as much of the album is, though - Estelle's tender performance of the title track deserves special mention - it feels like a series of tracks rather than a fully realised long-player.
THE ALBUM FEATURES THREE SONGS WITH KELLY ROWLAND,SO BE SURE TO SUPPORT HER AND BUY THE ALBUM.
